Much of the US news of the Israel - Palestinian conflict is one sided -- Israel's side. This article, Five Little Girls on a Sofa, by Brian Coughley in CounterPunch, addresses the short comings of the US media and our gutless politicians that have yielded to the Israel Lobby. Perhaps if Americans could watch in living color the mangled bodies of Palestinian children killed by American supplied missiles and bombs, they would take a different view. We Americans supply Israel with $3 billion annually in military aid that the Israelis use to kill Palestinian civilians in Gaza. Is that how our tax dollars should be spent?

Bush has has turned a blind eye. We need to pressure Obama to not do likewise. The road to peace in the Middle East starts in Gaza.

Gaza too is receiving quite a bit of foreign aid. $900 billion from the US announced last week (at a time when we certainly don't have it) and $556 million from the EU. http://samsonblinded.org/news/52-billion-aid-to-gaza-how-to-spend-8353 Their use of it is questionable to say the least. This all happens at a time when they continue to launch rockets into Israel.
